LHC defers constituting larger bench on Nawaz case
Chief Justice Lahore High Court, Ijaz Ahmad Chaudhry here Monday deferred to constitute a larger bench for hearing of a petition seeking disqualification of PML-N chief Nawaz Sharif, pending for the last 20 years.
The CJ observed that new CJ Sh Azmat saeed will decide the petition after assuming the charge of his office as he was being elevated to Supreme Court.
The petitioner Barrister Javed Iqbal Jaffrey had filed the petition 22 years ago seeking a lifetime ban on PML-N chief Mian Nawaz Sharif to contest election.
