Gas supply to CNG stations remain suspended for 3 days
Federal Minister for Petroleum and Natural Resources Dr Asim Hussain has warned that here would be problems to gas consumers during winter months due to widening gap in demand and supply.
Addressing a press conference here on Sunday, he however expressed confidence that the shortage in gas supply would be overcome to a great extent during next winter.
He said the elected government was trying its level best to improve the gas supply. He said it would be endeavour of the government to ensure supply of gas on equal basis to the provinces.
Dr Asim Hussain said that supply of gas to domestic consumers and industries would be the priority of the government.
He said the government was working to increase domestic production of gas and meet the shortage from external sources. He said that suspension of gas supply to CNG stations for three days would continue. He said survey and design of the Iran-Pakistan gas pipeline project has been completed while work is in last stages on Pak-Iran oil and gasterminal which would start operations in December.
