Abudhabi test: SL elects to bat against Pakistan
Pakistan won the toss and elected to field in the First Test against Sri Lanka being played at the Zayed Cricket Stadium on Tuesday.
Nuwan Pradeep, a right-arm medium fast bowler makes his debut for Sri Lanka as the islanders make their Test debut here in the UAE.
Pakistan, led by Mizbah-ul-haq, has named three fast bowlers and one spinner in their squad with the notable omission being Wahab Riaz.
Twenty-one year-old Junaid Khan, who made his Test debut against Zimbabwe has been named and will partner Umar Gul and Aizaz Cheema as the pace trio. Former skipper Shoaib Malik will have to sit out.
Sri Lanka have also named three pacemen including debutant Pradeep with Rangana Herath the lone spinner.
