Kareena's wax statue to be unveiled on October 27
Kareena Kapoor's wax statue at Madame Tussauds will be unveiled on October 27 in Blackpool, UK. She will also flag off a global exhibition, where the statues of Bollywood stars will be taken to six major cities around the world to be exhibited, before they are brought back to Blackpool.
Kareena's wax statue was scheduled to be unveiled in the second week of October but the date got postponed after the sad demise of beau Saif Ali Khan's father, cricketer Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi. Bebo was in no mood to attend any event after the catastrophe, she just wanted to be there for Saif and his family.
She cancelled all her appointments and public appearances that were scheduled in the first week of October. She conveyed to the museum authorities that she could not take part in any form of celebration or attend any public function before Diwali. The museum authorities assured her that they were ready to wait. Everything fell in place and Kareena finalized October 27 as the date for unveiling her statue.
Kareena will be missing the Toronto premiere of her much awaited film Ra.One, as it falls on the same day. But Shah Rukh Khan has no problems with that as he feels that her presence at the Dubai and London premieres will be more than enough.
The unveiling of Bebo's statue will kick-start a Bollywood exhibition, featuring statues of Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan, Hrithik Roshan, Salman Khan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan among others, to six countries including Hong Kong and Thailand.
