SC rejects govt plea in NAB chief appointment
The Supreme Court on Tuesday has rejected government's request to extend the deadline to appoint the NAB Chairman until the review plea in Deedar Hussain Shah case is settled.
The SC had ordered the immediate appointment of NAB chairman early this year and had even given a deadline of one month (ended in August).
Two-member bench comprising Justice Nasir-ul-Mulk and Justice Anwar Zaheer Jamali read out the verdict rejecting the government's plea.
The court adjourned the hearing till October 13.
