JSQM chief sent on judicial remand
Jeay Sindh Qaumi Mahaz (JSQM) Chairman Bashir Khan Qureshi was sent to jail on a four day judicial remand, here on Friday.
While The magistrate released the other accused in the incident, Shehzad Khan under section 63 of the Code of Criminal Procedure after tallying the license and the issued TT pistol number in the court.
The magistrate also directed the police to verify arms license provided by JSQM leader in the court.
Talking to media Bashir Qureshi said Interior Minister Rehman Malik was a liar who was only sheltering terrorists.
Earlier, Bashir Qureshi was taken into custody along with his guards from the Gulshan-e-Hadid area for allegedly possessing illegal weapons on Thursday.
Meanwhile, JSQM is observing a shutter-down strike in parts of Sindh to protest the detention of the party leader.
The strike is being observed in Sukkur, Dadu, Khairpur, Nathan Shah, Obaro, Shikarpur, Ghotki, Larkana and other cities.
