IPI joint working group to meet in Islamabad from Oct 16 to 19
The Iran Pakistan India (IPI) Gas Pipeline Project working group would meet here from October 16 to 19.
The meeting of Sub-Committee of the Steering Committee of the Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) of Cabinet constituted on the IPI project reviewed the project the other day.
Minister for Petroleum and Natural Resources, Amanullah Khan Jadoon presided over the meeting held prior to the upcoming Joint Working Group (JWG) meeting of Pakistan and Iran on IPI gas pipeline project scheduled from October 16 to 19.
The meeting reviewed the status of the project and provided guidance in order to negotiating and finalising the agreements with the Iranian side in the next JWG meeting. The Minister emphasised the importance of the project for sustainable economic growth of the country, which will also prove to be a catalyst for bringing peace in the region.
The Minister appreciated the work done by the whole Pakistani team for bringing the project to its advance stage of finalisation.
