Fruit exporters now access to Chinese market
Pakistani exporters doing business in fruit product can now have the opportunities to capture the lucrative Chinese fruit and agricultural market as Pakistan has successfully obtained quarantine certification from their counterpart.
In the past Pakistani fruit and agricultural products have not been able to access to Chinese markets in big way because of various quarantine restrictions.
A senior official at Pakistan Mission said that Pakistan has now successfully obtained quarantine certification for mangoes, kinnows and rice.
"We have also submitted applications for quarantine clearance to Pakistani dates, onions, potatoes and wheat", he told APP.
He expressed the optimism that entry of Pakistan's fruit and agricultural products including dry fruit in the Chinese market could make a positive impact towards the improvement of trade balance.
