The video, posted on the Team Trump TikTok account, showed the couple watching fireworks and carried the text: “Mood because it’s August and Donald Trump is your president.”

The post was captioned: “I’m sure @Taylor Swift is going to be super excited we used her song!”

Swift’s track has since been removed from the video, which now plays without audio alongside a TikTok notice saying: “This sound isn’t available.”

The latest incident is part of a broader pattern involving Swift’s music and Trump-affiliated social media accounts.

Team Trump previously used her song Father Figure in a November video, while the official White House account used The Fate of Ophelia around the same time.

Both tracks have subsequently been made unavailable on the political accounts.

At least 10 Swift songs or recordings have reportedly been blocked from videos posted by Trump administration or campaign-related accounts, including Red (Taylor’s Version), August, Love Story, Daylight, The Fate of Ophelia, Opalite, Father Figure, I Knew It, I Knew You, Cruel Summer and audio from her Eras Tour.

Swift’s music remains available for personal TikTok posts but is blocked from political accounts.

The singer has previously endorsed Democratic candidates.

In September 2024, she announced her support for then-Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris, prompting Trump to post “I HATE TAYLOR SWIFT!” on his Truth Social account.

Swift is not the only artist to restrict the use of her music by Trump-affiliated accounts.

Puerto Rican singer Bad Bunny recently removed the audio for EoO from a White House TikTok post.
