      <title>Cops involved in assault on Aaj News reporter suspended</title>

      <description>&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;The Lahore Police on Thursday suspended four constables involved in the assault on Aaj News reporter Natiq Rehan, after the Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Operations took notice of the incident.&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;According to officials, the suspended personnel have been identified as Constables Zain-ul-Abideen, Muhammad Musaddiq, Najam-ul-Hasan and Muhammad Farhan.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The DIG Operations also ordered a departmental inquiry against the four police staffers to ensure a transparent investigation into the incident.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Police authorities said the inquiry would determine responsibility and that those found guilty would face disciplinary action in accordance with the law.&lt;/p&gt;
