      <title>Medical college entrance exam postponed on PM's directive</title>

      <description>&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;The Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC) on Thursday postponed the Medical and Dental College Admission Test (MDCAT) 2026 on the instructions of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, rescheduling the examination from August 16 to September 20, 2026.&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;In a statement, the PMDC said the decision to revise the examination date was taken to ensure the test is conducted in a more organised, secure and transparent manner.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The council said all other terms, conditions, examination rules and arrangements for MDCAT 2026 would remain unchanged.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;It added that any further changes, if required, would be communicated separately through notifications.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The PMDC advised candidates, parents, educational institutions and other stakeholders to stay updated through the council’s official website and authorised communication channels for the latest information and instructions.&lt;/p&gt;
