&lt;p&gt;The decision was taken by the provincial cabinet, after which the Higher Education Department issued an official notification outlining the new schedule.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Under the notification, all public and private universities and colleges will remain closed on Fridays and Saturdays.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The department has also directed educational institutions to conduct online classes on the remaining working days to ensure academic activities continue without interruption.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;According to the notification, the new arrangement will remain in effect for the next two months.&lt;/p&gt;
