Pakistan’s Punjab Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) has issued an alert over possible floods in rivers and streams, warning of rising water levels across the province from July 20 to 24.

According to a PDMA spokesperson, water levels in Punjab’s rivers are expected to increase during the period, while a warning has been issued for low- to high-level flooding in the Chenab River at Marala.

The authority also warned of possible flooding in rivers and streams adjacent to the Ravi and Chenab rivers, including the Bahin, Basantar, Deg, Ek, Palkho, Bhimber, Halsi and Dora.
