According to officials, the NCCIA has launched an inquiry into Noreen Niazi’s remarks, including comments linked to the Pakistan-India conflict.

Noreen Niazi is accused of disseminating “false, offensive and inflammatory” content against state institutions on social media. 

She has been directed to appear before the agency on July 20.

Authorities said the investigation will examine all aspects of the statement to determine whether any laws were violated.

The issuance of the notice has brought the matter into sharper focus as the inquiry proceeds.

Apearing in a podcast, Niazi claimed that the Pakistan-India conflict in May 2025 was part of a “secret plan” aimed at persuading Pakistan to recognise Israel.

When the podcast host described Operation Maarka-e-Haq as a moment of national pride, Niazi rejected the assertion, alleging that it was “a drama carried out in coordination with [Indian Prime Minister Narendra] Modi.”

She further alleged that the conflict was orchestrated to bolster the image of Pakistan’s military and claimed its broader objective was to pave the way for Pakistan’s recognition of Israel.

Niazi also alleged that Israel played a role in the developments and accused the US of pressuring Pakistan to recognise Israel, saying this was why US President Donald Trump frequently praised Pakistan’s leadership.
