During proceedings at the South Judicial Magistrate’s Court, Anmol’s counsel complained that the accused was being denied medicines and clothing in jail, and sought directions against the prison administration.

Complying with the court’s summons, the superintendent of the Women’s Jail appeared before the court.

The court questioned prison authorities over why the accused was allegedly not being provided with medicines and clothes.

The jail superintendent told the court that Anmol was free to receive and wear normal clothing and that the prison had no objection to such attire.

However, she said clothing considered inappropriate under jail rules, including T-shirts requested by the accused, could not be permitted.

The superintendent further informed the court that Anmol was undergoing treatment at Karachi’s Civil Hospital and was being provided with all medicines prescribed by her doctors.

After hearing the prison authorities’ explanation, the court disposed of the application.

Anmol alias Pinky is facing murder and narcotics cases registered at multiple police stations, including Baghdadi Police Station.
