According to a statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the operations were carried out on the basis of intelligence reports and resulted in the deaths of eight militants.

The ISPR said the first operation was conducted in Kharan district on June 25 after security forces received credible intelligence regarding the movement of a group of militants.

During the operation, security forces killed three militants belonging to ‘Fitna Al Hindustan,’ while several others were injured.

The military’s media wing said a second intelligence-based operation was conducted in Mastung district on June 26, where security forces effectively targeted a militant hideout.

Following an intense exchange of fire, five militants, including a suspected suicide bomber, were killed.

According to the ISPR, weapons, ammunition, improvised explosive devices (IEDs) and motorcycles used by the militants were recovered during the operations.

The statement added that clearance operations were continuing in the area to eliminate any remaining militants and ensure that no further threats remained.

The ISPR said that the security forces remain committed to eradicating terrorism from the country and that counterterrorism operations under the national “Azm-e-Istehkam” campaign would continue with full force and determination.
