Karachi drug gang used eggshells to smuggle cocaine, suspect tells police

Police have uncovered an alleged drug trafficking network in Karachi that used eggshells to transport cocaine, according to disclosures made by a suspect arrested by South Zone Police.

The suspect, identified as Shah Fahad, told investigators that the group procured cocaine from a supplier named Bilal, based in Peshawar, who allegedly concealed the narcotics inside emptied eggshells before sending them to Karachi.

According to the suspect, the shipments were delivered to Sohrab Goth through a distribution network, after which riders were dispatched to collect the consignments from designated locations.

Shah Fahad claimed he purchased each cocaine-filled egg for Rs210,000. He told police that a single egg contained around 20 grams of cocaine and that two to three such eggs arrived every three to four days.

The suspect further alleged that members of the network deliberately used separate pickup and delivery points to prevent riders from identifying those behind the operation.

Police said investigations are underway to trace other members of the alleged network and verify the suspect’s claims.

The latest development comes after the recent exposure of another major narcotics network operating in Karachi.
