According to hospital sources, there is currently no risk to her life or any vital organs.

According to hospital officials, approximately 13 per cent of Dr Mahnoor Nasir’s body sustained burns, including 7 to 8 per cent deep wounds.

Both her eyes show moderate corneal clouding, but her vision remains intact.

She is receiving treatment with precautionary measures in place.

Plastic surgery and ophthalmology specialists are actively involved in her care.

Police, meanwhile, identified the assailant as Humayun Shah, a lift operator at Quetta’s Civil Hospital.

The suspect was killed in a police encounter, during which weapons were also recovered from him.

A case about the acid attack has been registered at the Civil Lines Police Station, Quetta, under Section 336 of the Pakistan Penal Code, with the hospital’s medical superintendent as the complainant.

Humayun Shah, a resident of Noshki, had been working at Civil Hospital in Quetta.

After legal formalities, his body was handed over to his family and transported to his native area in Noshki for burial.

Dr Mahnoor Nasir is a resident of Duki district of Balochistan and has been living in Quetta in connection with her job.
