According to Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) East Zubair Nazir Sheikh, the accused is involved in the sale of heroin, hashish, and other drugs, and has around 35 cases registered against her across various police stations.

Police said Shireen previously ran a major drug den in Sohrab Goth, but shifted her operations to Gulistan-e-Jauhar following repeated police actions.

She had been arrested and jailed several years ago, and resumed drug-related activities about two years after her release. Authorities said a hand grenade was also recovered from her.

SSP East said Shireen supplied heroin directly from her flat, while drug users consumed the substances outside the building. Several cases have also been registered against her husband and sons, who have been arrested multiple times in the past.

Police have launched further interrogations of the accused and her sons to trace the broader drug network and its associates.
