      <title>Sindh announces four-day Eid al-Azha holidays from May 26</title>

      <description>&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;The Sindh government has formally announced a four-day public holiday across the province for Eid al-Azha, issuing an official notification approved by Chief Secretary Asif Haider Shah.&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;According to the notification, public holidays will be observed from Tuesday, May 26, to Friday, May 29, 2026. The holidays will apply to all provincial government, semi-government bodies, and local bodies.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;However, employees engaged in essential services and those involved in budget preparation, have been exempted.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The announcement follows a similar notification issued by the federal government two days earlier.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Under the federal calendar, Eid al-Azha holidays span three days — May 26, 27, and 28 — covering one day before Eid and two days of the festival itself.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Eid al-Azha will be observed in Pakistan on May 27, with the main Hajj ritual of Waquf-e-Arafat taking place on May 26.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Saudi Arabia, other Gulf countries, and Muslim communities in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, and Europe will also observe Eid on May 27.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Malaysia, Indonesia, Turkey, and Tunisia are among other countries marking the occasion on the same date.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;India and Bangladesh, however, will observe Eid al-Azha on Thursday, May 28.&lt;/p&gt;
