This is Naqvi’s second trip to Tehran in a week, as Pakistan, which is acting as a mediator in the conflict and hosted talks earlier this year, is trying to bring both sides to a second round of talks, according to Iran’s Tasnim news agency.

During the visit, Naqvi is set to hold key meetings with top Iranian leaders on the stalled US-Iran negotiations and the evolving regional situation.

Pakistan is playing an active role behind the scenes to facilitate talks between Tehran and Washington through diplomatic efforts.

Sources indicate that Naqvi will discuss the next round of US-Iran negotiations, regional security, and diplomatic progress with Iranian leaders.

However, a formal agenda for the current visit has not yet been released.

During his last trip to Tehran, Naqvi held an extensive 90-minute meeting with Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian, during which detailed discussions were held on bilateral relations, regional developments, and diplomatic affairs.

He also met Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, and Interior Minister Eskandar Momeni.

Diplomatic sources said Pakistan has been actively working to reduce tensions between Iran and the US and has previously facilitated contacts and dialogue between the two countries.

Analysts note that Naqvi’s repeated trips to Tehran highlight the rapid progress of back-channel diplomacy in the region.
