Trump accuses US media outlets of favouring Iran

US President Donald Trump on Monday sharply criticised Democrats and major American media outlets in a social media post on Truth Social, accusing them of bias in coverage related to Iran.

Trump wrote that even if “the entire Iranian army came out with their hands up” and Iranian leaders signed “Documents of Surrender” admitting defeat to the United States, media organisations would still portray it as “Iran’s great victory against America.”

In the post, Trump specifically mentioned The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal and CNN, referring to them as “failed,” “corrupt”, and “fake media.”

“They have all completely lost their minds,” Trump wrote, referring to Democrats and sections of the US media.

Trump added that even if every Iranian soldier “threw down their weapons” and said “I surrender,” the media would still publish headlines declaring “Iran’s magnificent victory.”
