      <description>&lt;p&gt;The National Savings Centre in Hyderabad has announced that Draw No. 54 for the Rs100 prize bond will be held on Friday, May 15, 2026.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;With the draw date approaching, thousands of bondholders across the country are hoping to secure the top cash prize.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Under the announced prize structure, one winner will receive the first prize of Rs700,000, while three second-prize winners will receive Rs200,000 each.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;In addition, multiple winners will receive the third prize of Rs1,000 each.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Prize bonds are available for purchase by all Pakistani citizens through designated commercial banks and National Savings Centres nationwide.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Officials said prize bonds remain a popular investment option as the principal amount is fully secure and can be encashed at face value at any time without deductions.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;h3&gt;&lt;a id="tax-deduction" href="#tax-deduction" class="heading-permalink" aria-hidden="true" title="Permalink"&gt;&lt;/a&gt;Tax deduction&lt;/h3&gt;
&lt;p&gt;For the 2026 tax year, prize winnings will be subject to a 15% withholding tax for filers listed on the Active Taxpayers List (ATL) and 30% for non-filers.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Under Section 156 of the Income Tax Ordinance, 2001, the deducted tax is treated as final tax and cannot be refunded or adjusted against other taxable income.&lt;/p&gt;
