Cambridge confirmed that AS-Level Mathematics Paper 32 (Code 9709), scheduled for May 15 across Pakistan, had been postponed after the paper was leaked before the examination.

Country Director Uzma Yousuf said the nature of the leak was “unprecedented” and accused certain elements of deliberately putting students’ futures at risk.

Cambridge said the decision to cancel the paper was taken after consultation with stakeholders in Pakistan to ensure the integrity and transparency of the examination system.

The examination body said a new date for the paper would be announced by May 22, along with further details regarding additional security measures and precautionary steps.

Uzma Yousuf said authorities were pursuing multiple legal avenues to ensure strict action against those responsible for the leak.

Cambridge also clarified that the postponement would not affect the release of AS and A-Level results, which will be announced on the previously scheduled date of August 11.
