A local court in Karachi on Tuesday sent alleged drug trafficker Anmol alias Pinky, dubbed the “Cocaine Queen” by investigators, to jail on judicial remand after police arrested her in a major anti-narcotics operation carried out with the assistance of federal agencies.

During the hearing of a drug recovery case, the court directed the investigating officer to submit the challan within 14 days.

According to police, the accused was arrested from Karachi’s Garden area and was allegedly running an organised narcotics network operating across multiple cities in Pakistan.

Investigators said charas and other narcotics worth more than Rs1.5 million were recovered from her possession, along with a pistol and ammunition.

Police sources claimed that Pinky was among the most wanted fugitives in several criminal cases and had been absconding in at least 10 registered cases at Garden police station.

Authorities alleged that the accused managed an extensive supply chain that distributed drugs to different parts of the country. Officials said she used female riders to transport narcotics in an attempt to avoid law enforcement surveillance.

According to investigators, the network’s customers included students from educational institutions as well as individuals from various segments of society. Police also claimed that some prominent personalities were among her alleged clients.

Investigative sources said the accused originally belonged to Kasur and had established a large and organised narcotics network in Karachi.

Officials further revealed that the codename “Pinky” was frequently used in drug dealings to conceal the network’s activities.

Police described the arrest as a major breakthrough in efforts against drug trafficking in the city. Fresh cases have also been registered against the suspect.

Authorities said investigations were underway to identify and arrest other members of the network and trace individuals accused of providing shelter and logistical support to the operation. Officials added that evidence was being collected from multiple angles as the probe continued.
