Pakistan’s Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir on Tuesday congratulated the nation and armed forces on the first anniversary of Operation Marka-e-Haq against India, calling it a symbol of unity between the people, government and military.

The remarks came during the 275th Corps Commanders’ Conference held at General Headquarters in Rawalpindi, which Field Marshal chaired, according to a statement from the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).

Pakistan accused the Afghan Taliban government of sheltering terrorist organisations, calling it a threat to regional peace, while rejecting allegations of targeting civilians as misleading and baseless.

The conference condemned human rights violations, extrajudicial killings and demographic changes in Indian-administered Jammu and Kashmir, reiterating Pakistan’s commitment to diplomatic, political and moral support for Kashmiris.

Field Marshal directed corps commanders to maintain high operational readiness and adopt coordinated strategies to address both conventional and unconventional security threats.
