&lt;p&gt;According to the meteorological department, the weather in the city remains extremely hot as strong hot winds continue to affect conditions.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The humidity in the air has dropped to 7 percent, the Met Office said.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The maximum temperature is likely to reach 43 degrees today.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Citizens have been advised not to leave their homes unnecessarily and to take precautionary measures against heatstroke, including using cold water and drinking as much as possible.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The Met Office said the temperature was recorded at 40.9 degrees Celsius on the previous day.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;He added that from tomorrow, the temperature is likely to drop to around 38 degrees celsius.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;He further warned that a heatwave is expected in Sindh from may 7, with another spell likely to push temperatures up again in Karachi after may 13.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Citizens have been advised to take precautionary measures against the continuing hot weather conditions.&lt;/p&gt;
