Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi on Monday held separate meetings with the US and Iranian envoys, as Pakistan finalised security and logistical arrangements for a potential second round of Islamabad talks between the two sides.

According to the Ministry of Interior, Naqvi met US Charge d’Affaires Natalie Baker and Iran’s Ambassador Reza Amiri Moghadam to review preparations and the broader regional situation.

In his meeting with the Iranian envoy, Naqvi said arrangements for the next round were complete.

“Foolproof security measures have been ensured for all foreign delegations,” he said, stressing the need for a sustainable, negotiated solution to reduce tensions.
