&lt;p&gt;Mercedes-Benz planned to use ​the ​batteries ⁠in future compact and mid-size electric ​SUVs and ​coupe ⁠models, the statement said.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Samsung SDI did not ⁠disclose ​the size ​of the deal.&lt;/p&gt;
