Civilians, including a child, were ​injured in a Ukrainian drone ​attack on Russia’s Kursk region, the Ministry ⁠was quoted as saying by ​Russian news agencies.

Russian President Vladimir Putin said on April 9 that he had announced a ​32-hour ceasefire over a period of ​Orthodox Easter, which falls on April 12 this ‌year.

The ⁠ceasefire would be in effect from 4 pm on Saturday to midnight on Sunday evening, the Kremlin ​said.

Ukrainian President ​Volodymyr ⁠Zelensky, who had previously made repeated proposals for a ceasefire ​that were turned down by ​Moscow, ⁠said that Ukraine would act in accordance with the Easter truce.

Hours into the ⁠truce ​put in place on ​Saturday, Russia and Ukraine accused each other of violating ​the agreement.
