The district administration issued a formal notification declaring a local holiday across the federal capital, with the decision also confirmed by the Deputy Commissioner via social media.

According to the notification, all government offices within Islamabad’s jurisdiction will remain closed on both days, except for essential services.

Institutions including hospitals, police, the Capital Development Authority (CDA), and the Metropolitan Corporation Islamabad (MCI) will continue to operate.

Officials said the move aims to facilitate security and logistical arrangements ahead of the high-level negotiations scheduled for April 10.

The administration has circulated the notification to all relevant departments, directing strict implementation and ensuring uninterrupted availability of essential services during the holidays.

The talks between Iran and the United States are expected to focus on advancing a sustainable peace framework in the region.
