The individual, identified as Abdul Latif, a resident of Sherpao Colony, was seen dangling from the bridge before authorities reached the scene and carried out a swift rescue operation.

Using a ladder-equipped vehicle, police safely brought him down and shifted him to a police station, where a case was registered.

According to officials, the man said his protest was aimed at calling for the reinstatement of former governor Kamran Tessori. He also appealed for personal assistance.

Family members, including his wife and children, were present at the scene during the incident. Authorities are investigating the case.
