According to seismic data, the quake originated at a depth of 190 kilometres, causing widespread shaking across urban and mountainous regions.

Residents in Islamabad and Rawalpindi reported noticeable tremors, while stronger jolts were felt in Peshawar, Swat, Shangla, Nowshera and Hangu.

The quake was also felt in Lower Dir, Mardan, Haripur, Mansehra and Abbottabad, as well as in several Punjab cities including Faisalabad, Sargodha, Attock, Okara, Kasur and Chiniot.

Tremors extended to Muzaffarabad, Skardu and Ghizer, along with other areas such as Sheikhupura, Wazirabad and Murree.

In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, areas including Bannu, Karak, Malakand and Landi Kotal also reported shaking.

There were no immediate reports of casualties or major damage, though authorities continue to monitor the situation.
