      <title>PIA resumes direct London flights after six years</title>

      <description>&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) on Sunday resumed its direct flight operations to London after a gap of six years.&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The PIA flight is scheduled to land at Heathrow Airport after an approximately eight-hour journey.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The resumption of flights was formally inaugurated by Defence Secretary Lt Gen (retd) Muhammad Ali and British High Commissioner to Pakistan Jane Marriott.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Under the new schedule, PIA will operate four direct weekly flights to London — three from Islamabad and one from Lahore.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Speaking at the occasion, British High Commissioner Jane Marriott welcomed the restoration of PIA’s London flights, terming it a positive development.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Defence Secretary Muhammad Ali also expressed satisfaction, saying it was encouraging to see the restoration of this important air link.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;He added that Pakistan and the United Kingdom share strong trade relations.&lt;/p&gt;
