A second oil tanker carrying 55,000 metric tons of automotive gasoline (Mogas) for domestic consumption is scheduled to arrive at Port Qasim on Sunday.

Quoting port officials, Business Recorder, in a report, said that MT Khairpur is transporting a shipment of motor gasoline from Sohar, Oman, on behalf of Pakistan State Oil (PSO).

The tanker will dock at the FOTCO terminal upon arrival, helping meet the country’s continuing demand for petroleum products.

According to the daily shipping and cargo handling report, another Mogas carrier, MT Deira Ghair, is currently berthed at the FOTCO terminal and has offloaded 32,000 metric tons of motor gasoline in the past 24 hours out of a total manifest of 34,062 metric tons.

The vessel is scheduled to sail from the terminal at 15:30 hours, clearing the berth for the incoming tanker.

The report also stated that Port Qasim currently hosts 11 vessels at its wharf, handling a variety of commodities including coal, yellow peas, cement, LPG, phosphoric acid, and bitumen across different terminals.
