Punjab and Sindh had already announced similar closures.

In Punjab, Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz ordered all educational institutions to remain closed until March 31, citing the prevailing security situation and fuel shortages. Authorities said examinations will be held as scheduled, while schools may conduct online classes.

In Sindh, the provincial cabinet approved school closures until the end of March as part of energy-saving measures. Officials said exams will proceed on time despite the shutdown.

Authorities said the coordinated move is aimed at reducing energy consumption while maintaining academic continuity through alternative arrangements.
