The prime minister held telephone conversations with Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Babar Sidhu, and Naval Chief Admiral Naveed Ashraf, conveying Eid greetings to the services chiefs.

During the calls, PM Shehbaz lauded officers and soldiers who remain deployed on the borders during Eid, away from their families, to safeguard the country. He praised their dedication and sacrifices for national security.

Separately, the prime minister contacted National Assembly Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, provincial governors, chief ministers, and senior political leaders to extend Eid wishes.

Those contacted included Punjab Governor Sardar Saleem Haider, Sindh Governor Kamran Tessori, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Faisal Karim Kundi, and Balochistan Governor Sheikh Jaffar Mandokhail.

He also spoke with Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz and Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah.

In addition, PM Shehbaz reached out to leaders of allied and other political parties, including JUI-F chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman, MQM-P chairman Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, ANP president Aimal Wali Khan, BAP president Sardar Khalid Hussain Magsi, IPP leader Abdul Aleem Khan, and PML-Q leader Chaudhry Salik Hussain.

On the diplomatic front, the prime minister also spoke with Turkmenistan’s President Serdar Berdimuhamedow and Bahrain’s King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, extending Eid greetings to their leadership and people.

In his conversation with the Turkmen president, both leaders expressed satisfaction over the positive trajectory of bilateral ties and reaffirmed their commitment to enhancing cooperation in trade, energy, connectivity, and regional development.

In a separate call with the Bahraini king, the two leaders exchanged Eid wishes and prayed for unity and harmony within the Muslim Ummah. PM Shehbaz also condemned recent attacks on Bahrain, expressing grief over the loss of lives and injuries.

Both sides agreed to remain in close contact on bilateral matters, reflecting the strong and friendly relations between the two countries.
