Iran-linked hackers claim breach of Israeli General’s email

A hacker group linked to Iran has claimed to have hacked the email account of a senior Israeli military officer and obtained about 100,000 confidential emails, according to a report by Press TV.

The group, calling itself Hanzala, said it accessed the email account of Israeli Brigadier General Eren Ortel.

The hackers claimed the emails contain sensitive information related to Israeli military strategies and policies.

According to the group, the files reveal details about what it described as Israel’s “genocidal policy and military strategy.”

The hackers also called Ortel the “architect” of what they described as Israel’s “new ideology of brutality.”

Ortel previously served as commander of the Israeli army’s Dadu Centre, a key institution for military research and strategic planning.

He currently heads the military program at the Begin-Sadat Centre for Strategic Studies and is also a visiting scholar at the American Foreign Policy Council.
