      <title>Youm-e-Ali being observed amid tight security in Karachi</title>

      <description>&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;The main religious gathering (majlis) in connection with the Youm-e-Shahadat of Hazrat Ali (RA) is underway at Karachi’s Nishtar Park on Wednesday amid extensive security and traffic arrangements.&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The main Youme-e-Ali procession is set to start shortly after 12.30pm and, after proceeding along its designated routes, will conclude at Hussainia Iranian Imam Bargah in Kharadar.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The procession is expected to reach Numaish intersection by 1pm.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;To facilitate the mourners, M.A. Jinnah Road from Guru Mandir to Tower has been closed to regular traffic, while Corridor Three from Saddar Dawakhana to Regal chowk is also restricted.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Traffic coming from the District Central will be diverted from Lasbela towards Nishtar Road in Garden, and vehicles from Liaquatabad will be routed via Guru Mandir to Lasbela and Garden.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Citizens travelling from Hassan Square to Peoples Chowrangi are advised to take New M.A. Jinnah Road, Jail Flyover, Teen Hatti, and Nishtar Road.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Under the traffic plan, no movement will be allowed beyond the traffic signal at the Society Office on Shahrah-e-Quaideen, except for authorised vehicles with special passes entering the procession.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Vehicles carrying food for distribution will enter M.A. Jinnah Road from Tower.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;h3&gt;&lt;a id="security-measures" href="#security-measures" class="heading-permalink" aria-hidden="true" title="Permalink"&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Security measures&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/h3&gt;
&lt;p&gt;A total of 5,213 police officers and personnel have been deployed across the city to maintain security.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;As part of security arrangements, the procession route has been sealed, while CCTV cameras have also been installed for monitoring.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Police will conduct snap checks. Snipers have also been deployed on tall buildings along the route.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Quick response teams are also on alert to handle any emergency, and police personnel are also stationed at hospitals along the route.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The Karachi Police Chief has instructed all officers to maintain law and order, ensure the safety of procession participants, and facilitate citizens throughout the event with professionalism and vigilance.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;h3&gt;&lt;a id="quetta" href="#quetta" class="heading-permalink" aria-hidden="true" title="Permalink"&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Quetta&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/h3&gt;
&lt;p&gt;In Quetta, the Zuljanah procession will start at 10pm from Alamdar Road.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Heavy deployment of police and Frontier Corps (FC) personnel has sealed the procession routes.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The procession will follow its traditional route via Ibrahim Street, Mekangi Road, Archer Road, Arts School Road and Prince Road, concluding at Alamdar Road.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Over 2,000 police and FC personnel have been deployed along the procession route, with CCTV surveillance coordinated through a dedicated control room.&lt;/p&gt;
