Both sides discussed the ongoing missile and air attacks on Iran by the US and Israel and Iran’s retaliatory strikes on US bases in Gulf countries.

During the conversation, both leaders exchanged views on the changing dynamics in the region and emphasised the importance of maintaining peace and stability.

Ishaq Dar also expressed concern over the recent drone attacks in the Gulf countries and conveyed Pakistan’s solidarity with the people of the United Arab Emirates following the attacks on the country.

In a separate call, Ishaq Dar spoke with Foreign Minister of Malaysia Mohamad Haji Hasan.

According to a statement issued by the Foreign Office, the two leaders reviewed the current regional situation and discussed matters of mutual interest.

Both sides stressed the need for peace and stability in the region and agreed to maintain close contact and consultations in view of the evolving circumstances.

The statement added that Pakistan and Malaysia reaffirmed their commitment to promoting regional peace and further strengthening mutual cooperation.
