      <title>Punjab reviews security measures ahead of Youm-e-Ali</title>

      <description>&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;An important meeting on law and order was held at the Punjab Interior Department on Thursday, presided over by Provincial Minister and Chairman of the Cabinet Committee on Law and Order Khawaja Salman Rafique.&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Interior Secretary Dr Ahmed Javed Qazi briefed participants during the session. Security arrangements for the upcoming Yum-e-Ali and the safety of Chinese residents in the province were reviewed in detail. IG Police Rao Abdul Karim attended via video link.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Khawaja Salman Rafique emphasised the need for a coordinated strategy among all institutions to ensure sustainable peace. He said the government is taking vigorous measures to protect lives and property, calling law and order “a basic need of a civilised society.”&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;He added that indiscriminate action is being taken against miscreants and there would be no compromise on public safety.&lt;/p&gt;
