NBP strengthens digital infrastructure with Arcana Info partnership

National Bank of Pakistan (NBP) has partnered with Arcana Info Pvt Ltd to upgrade its digital infrastructure through the implementation of a new Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) platform.

The agreement was signed at a ceremony held at NBP’s head office.

The event was attended by Shaikh Ausaf Ahmed, Acting Chief Technology Officer at NBP, and Aminul Hafeez, Chief Executive Officer of Arcana Info.

The ESB platform integrates NBP’s core banking system with multiple applications, enabling secure, real-time transactions and faster response times. The upgrade is part of the bank’s broader digital transformation strategy aimed at improving customer service across all delivery channels.

Sharing his views on the occasion, Ausaf Ahmed Shaikh, Acting Chief Technology Officer, said, “The ESB strengthens the Bank’s digital foundation, improves system stability, and prepares NBP for future growth. With this successful rollout, NBP continues building a secure, reliable, and future-ready technology environment to enhance customer experience and meet the demands of a fast-changing financial industry.”

The new system also enhances reliability through centralised monitoring and stronger performance controls. It improves security, supports regulatory compliance and ensures secure data exchange without manual intervention.

NBP said the platform will speed up the launch of new digital products and services while maintaining high security and performance standards. By eliminating redundant connections and simplifying system integration, the ESB is expected to reduce complexity and deliver cost efficiencies.

Powered by DevOps automation, the platform enables smoother updates and seamless deployments, improving operational agility and allowing technology teams to respond quickly to evolving business and customer needs.
