According to officials, flight operations from Pakistan to several Middle Eastern countries have been affected, including Bahrain, Kuwait, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, Turkey, Iraq and Iran.

Air cargo services have also been suspended along with passenger flights.

Authorities said the cancellations are linked to the closure of airspace in some countries.

Officials added that it is currently unclear when normal flight operations will resume.

However, flights to Saudi Arabia in the Middle East have reportedly been restored.

Flights Peshawar Airport suspended

All domestic and international flights originating to and from Peshawar’s Bacha Khan International Airport have been cancelled on Monday, according to officials.

Authorities said flights could not operate today, including services to Karachi as well as international destinations such as Qatar, Doha, Muscat, Riyadh, Abu Dhabi and Dubai.

Officials stated that all flights remain suspended until further notice.
