Flight schedules across Pakistan were disrupted due to changing regional conditions and airspace restrictions, aviation authorities said, while stressing that the country’s airspace remains fully safe for all civil aviation.

A spokesperson for the Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority said a total of 27 flights were handled under exceptional circumstances, including diversions, returns and technical landings.

The heaviest pressure was reported at Jinnah International Airport, where 13 flights were diverted or required technical refuelling.

Allama Iqbal International Airport handled four diverted flights, while Islamabad International Airport handled two.

Airline schedules were also significantly affected.

Air Sial cancelled 19 flights to Gulf destinations. Pakistan International Airlines cancelled four flights from Islamabad to Al Ain, Abu Dhabi, Doha and Dubai.

Operations of Fly Jinnah and Saudia were also impacted.

CAA officials said air traffic control and airport teams managed operations efficiently despite the disruptions.

Passengers were advised to check with their respective airlines for the latest flight information before travelling to airports.
