The chief minister visited the intelligence fusion centre and received a detailed briefing on law and order. She instructed authorities to adopt a proactive policy against terrorism rather than a reactive approach.

CM Maryam ordered the installation of modern digital scanners at entry and exit points across the province and the creation of special dashboards for deputy commissioners in all districts.

She also directed that the whistleblower system against terrorists and criminal elements be strengthened.

Officials informed the meeting that PIFAC has been set up for the first time in the province and will include a cybersecurity and AI hub.

Separately, during a review of Ramazan initiatives, the chief minister was told that over 3.5 million citizens had benefited within five days through “Nigehban Ramazan Bazaars,” saving a cumulative Rs30 million.

Prices of onions, garlic, ginger and other essential items were reported to have dropped to historic lows.

Across Punjab, 421 “Nigehban Ramazan Dastarkhwans” are serving Iftar to 462,000 fasting individuals.

CM Maryam said making Punjab the safest province and providing relief to citizens remain her top priorities.
