Speaking at an Iftar dinner at the Governor House, Tessori said a narrative had been spread portraying him as a source of division, calling it “completely false.” He added that people had now started taking his initiatives for the province seriously.

Referring to a recent conference on Karachi’s future, the governor said he was pleased that discussions on the city’s development had gained momentum across different forums.

In a lighter remark, he said “a little music is part of politics,” adding that Ali Khurshidi could provide light notes while Farooq Sattar was available if a “louder instrument” was needed, comments seen as political symbolism.

Tessori said conspiracies against his efforts would not succeed and that his administration would remain on its chosen path, one based on humanity rather than ethnicity, language or religion.

He announced that the Governor House would continue to provide free IT education and that a new session for 100,000 people would begin after Eid al Fitr.
