According to the notification, single-shift schools will operate from 8am to 12.30pm.

For double-shift schools, the first shift will run from 7.30am to 11.30am, while the second shift will operate from 11.45am to 2.45pm.

On Fridays, single-shift schools will operate from 8am to 11.30am to allow students and staff to leave in time for Friday prayers, officials said.

According to the education department, the decision has been made to provide convenience to students and teachers observing fasting during the holy month of Ramazan.

Authorities said all educational institutions have been instructed to strictly follow the revised timings, while district administrations will monitor compliance with the orders.
