According to the Met Office, there is a possibility of rain accompanied by thunder on February 17, along with stronger-than-usual dusty winds in the city.

The department said a westerly weather system is likely to enter the country today, which may affect weather conditions in Sindh, including Karachi.

Fog may also reduce visibility in Karachi on Tuesday.

Rain with thunderstorms is expected in the Karachi division — including Dadu, Hyderabad, Thatta, Badin, Jamshoro, Larkana, Jacobabad and Khairpur — during the evening and night of February 16 and 17.

In most parts of the province, the weather is expected to remain dry with cold nights.
