KE recovers Rs23m through facilitation camps across Karachi

K-Electric (KE) has recovered around Rs23 million in outstanding dues through six facilitation camps held across Karachi, the utility said on Wednesday.

The camps, organised on February 12, attracted more than 2,400 customers and were held in North Karachi, Surjani, Bin Qasim, Zamzama, New Karachi, and Shah Faisal.

KE said the camps, also known as Khuli Kachehris, provided on-the-spot assistance for billing complaints, meter-related issues, and the regularisation of electricity connections.

In the current fiscal year, KE has organised more than 100 facilitation camps as part of its outreach programme, particularly in areas with limited access to banking services.

Company officials said the initiative aims to bring support services closer to communities while encouraging customers to clear pending dues.

“Facilitation camps play a crucial role in allowing customers to access essential services within their neighbourhoods and strengthen engagement with KE,” spokesperson Imran Rana said.

“KE will continue working to improve recovery while ensuring customers are given every opportunity to clear their dues,” he added.
