DSP Paharpur Circle Adnan sustained critical injuries and was shifted to a nearby hospital for treatment.</p> <p>Following the attack, a heavy police contingent reached the site. Law enforcement agencies launched a search operation in the surrounding areas and placed the district on high security alert.</p> <p>Officials said efforts were underway to trace and arrest the attackers.
